Not all of us are morning people, infact most of us aren’t. Starting a new exercise regime can mean you may need to start working out in the morning so you don’t miss out on your afternoon social activities.  Here are some tips that you can use in the morning to make sure you don’t miss that morning workout.

1. Set an alarm on the other side of the room

Placing your alarm clock or mobile phone on the other side of the room will ensure that you have to get up in the morning to turn the alarm off.

2.Have your gym bag packed

The night before you have a morning workout make sure you have your bag packed and ready to go.  One less thing to do in the morning is one less thing that keeps you in bed and stops you from thinking “I cant be bothered, there’s too much to do”.

3. Go to bed early

It is important to make sure you get enough sleep, you want to wake up feeling refreshed and ready not tired and confused. Enjoy a cup of Zen Tea before bed, we have designed this blend to help you unwind after a long day.

4. Get a friend involved

Its easier to get up and workout when you don’t want to let a friend down.  Hopefully the thought of your friend getting up early and waiting on you is enough to get you out of bed.

5. Prepay

Paying for a monthly subscription or gym classes up front is a fantastic tip that appeals to the terry tight ass in all of us.  Hopefully the thought of wasting money to get an extra hours sleep in enough to wake you up, maybe even before your alarm.

6. Pre prepare your breakfast

Pre preparing oats or yoghurt and muesli the night before your workout means its one less thing to do in the morning. This means that when you leave the gym or go home for a shower breakfast can be eaten without the hassle of preparing and cleaning up after a meal.
