Wanting to keep active this summer, but can’t choose between a workout or a day at the beach, why not bring the exercise to the beach. Below are a list of fun beach activities that will have you burning calories without thinking twice.
Bring a football along to the beach, and form two teams. The start/stopping nature of football will get your heart rate up whilst your having fun! When it gets to hot you can simply jump in the waves to cool off.
Bringing out the best and worst in people, beach volleyball is a competitive calorie burning activity. Relying on a lot of strength in the lower body beach volleyball is a great leg work out.
Stand Up Paddle Board
Stand up paddle boarding is great for you working your abdominals. SUP requires strength, balance and a lot of patience. You will be using the muscles in your arms, legs and abs to stay up right and move along the water. SUP is a great exercise when you don’t feel like exercise.
Boogie Boarding/ Body Boarding
Boogie/Body boarding is a fantastic activity to improve strength in your back, arms, legs and core whilst improving cardiovascular fitness. The paddling, swimming and strength involved in holding your body on the board will burn calories without even knowing. You wont realise how tired you are until you leave the water!
