Toning exercise to get your best bikini body.

Summer is here and you want to look good in a bikini, but you don’t want to waste time on exercises that aren’t going to benefit your bikini body figure.   When it comes to all body toning its quite simple, you want to use whole body exercises that can cut your training time in half but are still just as (if not more) effective.  Here is a list of the perfect “whole body toning exercises” that recruit the highest number muscles around the body.

Push ups

Yes, the push up, probably the first exercise you’ve ever learnt, and there is a reason why it is the most used and most basic exercise.  The push up targets your chest, triceps and abdominal muscles and with numerous variations you can target more specific muscle groups as you please.


Can be defined at the lower body gold mine when it comes to muscles used.  Squats can target your hips, hamstrings, glutes and abdominal muscles!  Don’t worry if you want to include your upper body just grab some dumbbells!


Lunges are another fantastic lower body toner as they work your quadriceps, glutes and hamstrings!  Lunges can be executed in various ways they can be static, walking or even jumping!! 

Pike Roll-out

Now this is where we start testing you.  Using a Swisse ball, get into a push up position with your feet on top of the ball, use your core muscles to lift your butt into the air over your torso, this is the pike portion of the exercise.  As you bring your body back down, allow your body to move along the ball until it is under your knees and your arms are out in front of you, this is the roll out.

Clean and Jerk

Regarded as the ultimate test of strength, the clean and jerk targets your hamstrings, biceps, triceps, back, core, quadriceps and calves!  Its suggested to separate the two movements if you are a beginner, with more practice you can combine the two movements.

Make sure you are taught by a professional how to do this exercise as injury can be common when executed incorrectly.


If your going to look silly doing your burpees, at least you know your doing it with good reason.  Burpees combine a squat and a push up and even a cardio element to your workout.  


When executed correctly it will strengthen your back, calves, quadriceps, hamstrings, glutes, core and forearms.  This is another lift that will a trainer as proper technique is essential.
