5 Day Detox Cleanse

Autumn is nearly upon us, and what better way to start the new season than with a cleansing diet. Let our 5-day detox cleanse rid your body of toxins and be an all over body cleanse.  Below is our fool proof body detox that will leave you feeling energetic and refreshed.   Our lunch and dinner recipes serve 4 so you can make a big batch and store refrigerated, for less hassle.

 

Drink on rising

Cleansing Lemon Detox diet drink (drink on rising)

2 tbsp. Freshly squeezed lemon juice

2 tbsp. maple syrup

1/10 tsp of powder cayenne pepper

250 ml of boiled water

 

Breakfast

Green goodness smoothie bowl

 

2 handfuls of spinach

1 frozen banana

1 handful frozen mixed berries

½ avocado

1 ½ cups coconut water

2 handfuls of kale

 

Blend ingredients in a blender, pour into bowl and sprinkle with your choice of toppings we prefer: chia seeds, chopped almonds and goji berries.

 

Lunch

Spicy Asian noodle salad (Serves 4)

½ pack of thin buckwheat soba noodles, cooked until soft

½ cup green onions

1 stalk celery, finely sliced

1 carrot cut into thin stripes

2 table spoons of finely chopped coriander

 

Dressing:

4 tablespoons sesame oil

1 tbsp. grated ginger

2 kaffir lime leafs finely chopped

Juice of 1 small lime

Small chilli chopped

 

Combine salad ingredients in one bowl and toss with the Asian dressing,

 

Detox Juice

3 carrots

1 large cucumber

3 celery stalks

1 beetroot

1 handful of spinach

1 cup of parsley

thumb size piece of ginger

 

Dinner

Steamed Vegetables (Serves 4)

1 cup organic carrot

1 cup diced pumpkin

1 cup organic cauliflower rosettes

1 bunch of organic asparagus

1 handful of organic mushrooms

1 bunch of organic green leaves (kale or black cabbage)

1 cup organic broccoli rosettes

Water

 

Boil ½ water and steam carrots and pumpkin for 3-4 minutes, then add cauliflower, kale, broccoli and cook for a further 2-3 minutes.

Add the mushrooms and asparagus and cook uncovered until all liquid is evaporated

Season with fresh herbs.
