5 Foods That Prevent Your Weight Loss

Here is a list of the foods you need to avoid if you are trying to lose weight! 

  1. Sugary Drinks
    Packed full of sugar soft drinks and energy drinks can contribute mega calories to your diet. Not to mention the minimal nutrition benefit these drinks have, its best to cut them out of your diet all together.
  2. Potatoes
    People who consume potatoes almost every day (in any form) can put on weight at an alarming rate. Mash potato, steamed potatoes, potato chips or French fries, it doesn’t matter what form your potato is in, it will be high in carbohydrate and when fried, high fat and when processed potatoes become high in sugar.
  3. Mayonnaise // Hollandaise 
    These sauces are made from pure fat and oil, and when you add these tasty condiments to a meal you are increasing the calorie intake substantially! Avoid dishes which contain these sauces and try to ask for your meals without the sauces and trimmings.
  4. Ice cream // Cream
    Unfortunately, ice cream and cream will never be a health food, with a total fat percentage ranging from 18%-40%!!  If you are trying to lose weight it is best to avoid these rich food items.  Ice cream is particularly worse as it has plenty of added sugar which can further add unwanted calories to the already calorie ridden product.
  5. Fast food
    When you purchase fast food, you have no idea of the cooking methods, quality of ingredients or the amount of added salt, oils and sugars! This is why it is best to avoid sugar all together!  Make your own fast food at home using healthy, high quality ingredients such as lean meats, whole grain buns and low fat ingredients.
